The app

It shows its working.

  1. Start from who you are.

Calculators are grouped for employees, freelancers and businesses. The paid ones carry a lock, and everything you need for a salary is free.

The TaxPh home screen, with calculators grouped for employees
  2. Type a salary. Get one number.

The one that reaches your account, monthly or every 15 days. What your employer pays on top sits underneath it, because that’s part of what you cost them.

    Take-home pay for a ₱25,000 salary: ₱22,611.20 a month
  3. Then ask how.

“Show the computation” lists every deduction with the circular it comes from. If you think a rate is wrong, Settings has a button for telling us.

The computation behind ₱22,611.20, with the circular behind each line
  4. Freelancing? It finds the cheaper rate.

Enter your gross receipts and it works out the 8% option against graduated rates, counts your 2307 credits, and tells you which one leaves you paying less.
